Video

Videos is a multimedia file that plays an important in society today. Videos are used by users everywhere and can be viewed and used by everyone who has a television, smartphone, or computer to be used as advertisement, entertainment, and even education.  Videos can be used to save threatened species as “graphics, video, and other media can help by interesting and engaging learner” (Zhang, Zhou, Briggs & Nunamaker Jr, 2006, p. 16) as they can educate and engage with viewers better to seal real-life footage of these species and what they have been through.




This video by Nation Geographic Wild shows an educational video of the endangered animals that are classified as critically endangered (Nat Geo Wild, 2017). It shows images of each animal and described the population and how they are declining. This video serves as a way to educate the viewers on the most critically endangered animals using images, graphics, and big text so viewers can learn about them in a simple and effective way than reading about it in text with no visuals, by the end it encourages the viewers to help save these species from going extinct. 



This video, by Protect All Wildlife provided by the International Animal Rescue (Protect All Wildlife, 2018) shows an orangutan home being destroyed from logging by a company as the orangutan tries its best to save its home with no chance of stopping the logging. This video is to show a real-life scenario that these animals are suffering and show the reasons they are declining to empathize with the orangutan and how heartbreaking it is losing its home and being helpless about it. 




This clip from the documentary series Planet Earth narrated by David Attenborough discusses about the rarest big cat in the world, the Amur leopard (BBC Earth, 2017). This clip show footage of the Amur Leopard mother taking care of her cub to survive in these dire times as at the time of filming there are only 40 amur leopards left in the wild and the numbers are falling. This clip is to show viewers the life of these beautiful leopards and their survival as soon can be gone from the earth.
