Infographic

Infographics are graphic visualization tools used to display data, information, or knowledge that viewers can read and view easily. Infographics are more effective to use for viewers as “infographic, when used as visual communication tool, could provide effective communication” (Vanichvasin, 2013, p. 135) so they can process and understand the data and information better for them. Using infographics about threatened species can help viewers understand and communicate for them better than a bunch of texts and numbers and encourage the viewers to do something in hopes of saving these species and educating them on the matter.

Infographic chart about the Asian tiger (Decklar, n/a)

This infographic designed by Jeanne Decklar shows an infographic chart about the Asian tiger (Decklar, n/a). This infographic communicates facts about the Asian tiger using text and illustration to represent the data being presented like basic information about them, how their population is declining and why they are declining.

Infographic Poster about critically endangered animals (Davison, 2019)

This infographic poster designed by Stefan Davison shows about five different critically endangered animals and information about them (Davison, 2019). The animals featured are the kakapo, red wolf, Chinese giant salamander, the gharial, and the largetooth sawfish where have illustrations of these animals and large texts in simple and few texts why they are declining and numbers to show their population number.

These two infographics show to communicate to the audience to understand the visualization better about the threatened species as educating but in a simplified form so easy to understand and communicate but also encourage the audience to do something in hopes of saving these amazing animals.
