“Animation is the rapid display of a sequence of static images that creates the illusion of movement” (Harrison & Hummell, 2010, p. 20). Animation is an amazing multimedia tool that is used in the world today. Animation is videos that allow for more creativity and freedom with the animators can express what they desire with anything. Animation is usually used for entertainment for children but it's more than that as can be used for narration and education. The use of animation can captivate viewers and educate them about threatened species and have empathy for these animals.

This is a 2D animation was created by Learning Junction about endangered and extinct animals that are targeted at kids (Learning Junction, 2018). The contents in this animation have a narrator and friendly-looking animations explaining why these animals' numbers are declining and their current situation, this video is to help a younger audience about endangered species and educate them about these animals.

This 3D animation by Lionheart Production tells a story of four different animals' perspectives in a musical format (Lionheart production, 2016). This animation follows a rhino, pelican, whale, and a baby fur seal where they sing how they are enjoying life peaceful then as the animation continues depicts humans as monsters as shows the animals are being hunted, poached, and killed for various reasons as the animals express their dreams and hopes are destroyed with a grim ending. This animation is to have the audience empathize and feel sad for these animals as the animations are accurate on what is going on with these animals in real life and if the things that are happening in this animation will continue, then these animals will be extinct if nothing is done.
